Ingot

Its fine gold weight must be between 995 and 1005 grammes. Its standard must be at least equal to 995/1000.

It must have the hallmark of a foundry recognised on the international markets, the standard, as well as the Assay Office hallmark. It must be accompanied by an Assay Office slip issued after 2 February 1948 by one of the following French establishments :

- Caplain Saint-Andre
- Compagnie froms metaux precieux
- Comptoir Lyon-Alemand, Louyot
- Anciens etablissements Leon Martin
- Laboratoires Boufromt et Dussaix
- Laboratoires Pourquery
(after 1 January 1967)

Also :

- Comptoir Lyon Alemand (2 February 1948 to 20 July 1948)
- Marret Bonin Lebel et Guieu reunis (2 February 1948 to 20 July 1948)
- Laboratoire Dubois (before 31 December 1966).

Important

Every Assay Office slip must be in good condition, with nothing crossed out or added, and mention the Assay Office number on the ingot as well as the weight and standard. It must be dated and signed by the assayer.
